Bedroom Skies is a new company dedicated to producing educational and beautiful products for children at extremely affordable prices.
This is our first product:

What is it?
A wallpaper mural depicting all of the constellations in the night sky
Day: see the shape of the constellations in the form of white silhouettes against a blue sky

A book suited to older children and adults about the various phenomena of the universe and humanity’s gradual discovery of its secrets from the ancient Sumerians to the present day.
What do you get?
- A ceiling mural 1950mm by 1120mm. (c.6’5” x 3’8”)
- Comprises 4 sheets of machine grade poster paper, glazed and sealed, with the image printed on top.
- Placed together they form a rectangle and one single image (see above for the ‘day’ image)
- A book with over 50 colour diagrams of the constellations.
How do I put it up?
The sheets are easily assembled using wallpaper paste and applying to the ceiling. The whole process shouldn’t take much more than ¾ of an hour, half of which you’ll be hanging around waiting. See application instructions for more details.
If the pasting idea really scares you, you can blue tack it to the wall (but it will look better pasted to the ceiling).
Why do I want it?
In an increasingly urbanised society, fewer of us than ever can actually see the night sky. At Bedroom skies, we believe that:
- Our product will encourage children to be more interested in the world about them.
- The most common view for extremely young children is the ceiling of their bedroom. We figure you might as well give them something interesting to look at once they have torn their mobile down
- Encourage lights out. This might be a shorter term effect, but it will hopefully be part of a learning process for sleeping with the lights off
- Children love to learn. They love to earnestly tell elders some arcane piece of knowledge about dinosaurs, for instance. This is more educationally useful – it is scientific, modern and relevant.
